OUGD602 Kristyna Baczynski's Zine Workshop

To have a bit of creative fun outside of uni I payed to join a small group to make zines with one of my favourite illustrators Kristyna Baczynski. She began by showing us her collection of zines all with different binds and content, once she showed us she went on to say that we could create and do anything we want in a zine it was all about getting your creative juices flowing.

She began by teaching us all the ways in which we could create our zines in terms of binds, such as pamphlet stitch and japanese stab bind. Once we had all created these blank canvas' she asked us to create a short zine.

I chose to do mine on my first pet jet. This was really fun and expressive almost like a fine art and graphic design collaboration, this helped me really let go of conformity and what design can be.
