On my 2nd week of placement I was given a new brief, this was create a mailer for the company R&R, they wanted me to give them so proposals so they could in future make up my designs.
Throughout the course of the week I got to go on several trips out including market research runs, and even a photography day.
This was really interesting to learn about, it took nearly 3 hours to get a pastrami sandwich looking perfect they used tools like tweezers and cotton buds to make sure it was really photo quality. Half way through the day my supervisor asked me to have a go at directing this was really challenging as you have to have a good eye for example the rule of 3 sort of window. Going on this photography day made really appreciate the photography in packaging and other things like magazines, previously i believe photography just to be a click and go sort of thing and it was completely the opposite.
On my last day I was greeted my pepper one of the staffs dogs, I brought in doughnuts to show my appreciation as they all have a sweet tooth - they asked me to keep in touch, I would like to invite them to my end of year show!

OUGD602/3 Work Experience - ASDA Confectionary Professional Presentation
On completion of my brief HA asked me to create a presentation using their format, they like to show the client their market research and their current products first to set the scene. They then analyse the current packaging not being too critical. They then show the client inspiration for the product, their initial ideas, colour scheme and the final product proposal.
