With the director and marketing managers instructions I created further visuals of how the idea could be used and designed, this brief would be passed on to someone to create the 3D printing and to another junior designer to be further worked on. In this case I created labels and mock ups of the actual product. Exploring variations in colour and design, ultimately the design choices would be made by the directors.
I explored how the product would be both delivered and presented, alongside this it was important to get a full cost breakdown this meant further extensive research in the middle of the process.
My ice lolly is inspired by ice kitchen and Fab, I chose to base the lolly off Fab because it has such grounding in the ice cream world, not only this but R&R manufacture this product. Fab lolly’s are one of the lollies that have been around for many years and create smiles at almost any age. Hopefully a 3D printed version of this will do the same.
