OUGD603 Ice Cream Parlour (Research Brief) - Product Research pt 2


Laneu
Laneu is a ice cream parlour based in Alicante (Spain) They have a very modern and clean look, this would appeal to an audience of 18+ the icon though helps connect to a younger audience of under 18. The logo it appears to the be big foot - known to be found the in the ice mountains, this is very symbolic and could be easily recognised on branding. Laneu themselves make fresh ice cream over a short period of time (few hours) creating such avours like choco- late orange with real orange pieces in!





Chin Chin Labs
Chin Chin is a nitrogen lab ice cream for adults based in Camden market, the typographic logo is memora- ble, modern and clean its can be used on any of the packaging and supporting materials such as napkins and tubs. Chin Chin make new avours daily chang- ing their menu very often this means no ice cream will be the same.


Bubbleology
Bubbleology although not an ice cream lab has a similar concept to my ice cream parlour as it allows users to pick and chose how the drink is made, you can chose the base, content and even mix ins such as type of bubbles e.g. tapioca. The brand uses science as USP to sell bubble tea to the market its bright and colourful branding appeals to a young audience from around 12-30. I would also say because of its rainbow theme it doesn’t appeal to either males or females this should be very useful when designing for my parlour.
