This week was leeds light night, on thursday night myself and becky explored the city centre to find installations and exhibits - the city was lit up from head to toe and filled with beautiful music.
Out of the night my favourite experience was visiting 'Light water, Dark Sky' this was small platform elevated on the canal opposite the royal amouries we were given some headphones and told to wait for the music and light. The beading gradually became brighter, changed colour and even appeared to dance in the sky and the reflections of the water. The experience it self was incredibly interactive and enjoyable. While walking around leeds it was clear just how popular this event was, everyone was engaging and enjoying themselves. Although I have never been to Leeds light night before - regardless of living in leeds I would definitely be enticed to interact again, this is a good way to meet new people and connect with friends, this sort of interactive display could be really useful and applied to some graphic design and user experience.
