Interactive and Communication Design Research
Because we want our work to be engaging I decided to research into key interactive and impactful work in which the designer and the user has had a direct connection - I have looked into how the audience interacts with design using an analysis techniques such as SWOT.
The MBot by The Hungry Sandwich Club
This flatpack design was created for the Merrion Centre in Leeds, promoting the use of technology and development in Robots.
"Every year in the month of March, a thunderous cadence can be heard rolling across the land. Artists around the world celebrate their love of all things robotic during MARCH of ROBOTS!"
Nano blocks
Although not graphic design nano blocks is a really cool & fun way of engaging - nano blocks is basically a small finite collection of Lego. The pieces themselves are fiddly and the end outcomes are often portable! With them being so small it means you can take your achievements on the go - almost like a permanent solution and acheivement.
Interactive Design
These poster designs really stood out to me visually by simply adding loop holes to the poster it has allowed the poster to be incredible interactive and even leading the audience to create their own designs without even noticing, the use of engagement and interaction in these posters is incredibly successful by making your audience interact unknowingly leaving lasting memories.

Prospectus for Bournemouth
Similar to the M Bot this prospectus requires interaction in order to be successful, the prospectus is made up of place cards which can then be used to create a mountain of other designs - really like a building block and starting point for creation, the use of this as a prospectus is really good way of getting potential students to show and share their creativity and equally stands alone as both products. Art and an information hub.
Snask - Malmo festival 2014
http://snask.com/case/malmofestivalen-2014/
Malmo Festival, Snask here have created an oversized human/poster/interaction/installation - the installation itself can only be seen from a birds eye view, unless fully explored. The design its self is created with 3d life size type hand carpenter. Rather than creating a digital stick on poster - this is something that everyone can be involved in and also finding out what the information says and highlights. The whole piece/art is incredibly eye catching an colourful much like the festival its self this design really catches everyones eyes.
