I recently watched a documentary on Netflix about Graphic Design.
Paula Scher was amazing in this documentry it was super interesting to hear about her design and her inputs, she begins the documentty talking about graphic design all over New york city that goes unnoticed. 'Typography is how we paint'
She goes on to talk about the busy life of a studio. She started designing for the theatre in 1984 this was one of her very first projects and her first influences of interest in type. She discusses about the semiotics of typography I found this incredibly interesting and this is something I can continue to use in my design, to consider really the strength and importance of typography and what effects it has on the person looking at it.
I would reccomned this documentary to everyone on our course, as it is incredibly inspiring, interesting and useful for how we design.
