OUGD603 Starpack - Tin Development

With our bottle designs complete we began to work on the tin plate bottle cases, this is another requirement of the brief. In order to create these tin designs we had to consider the materials to be used this being aluminium. Because we must use aluminium we thought best to really show off the material with our designs.
Our rst initial idea was to have our illustrations engraved into the tin with the oh embossed to really show off how elegant OH was as a brand.
Although a nice touch it was quite dull and didn’t really represent the bright punchy avours of the

vodka, as a guide from other bottle tins (market research) the designs tend to be slightly similar
but with a number of differences the bottle and tin should ideally show some resemblance of each other.
This is when we re thought our tin idea, using
our own unique tin shape as a basis we used our illustrations from our bottles to create a vibrant and unique tin which could be re used if wanted. The tins clearly differentiated in terms of colour and avour, this was important so that our consumers could pick what they want easily. We also brought across the ltered sticker seal from the vodka to the tin to tie it all together, this added to the overall quality of the vodka.
