OUGD603 Up yer Sleeve - Initial ideas and sketches

Using my research and inspiration, I looked at Goldie’s song once more, To represent the song in paper cut I needed to pick a scene or idea to show the song accurately. Using key moments from the video I created a mind map of stages in the video/lyrics which could sum up the songs intentions and feelings.

Using the scenes as a basis I sketched out some visual representations to be developed. My concept/idea is based around things getting gradually better by Goldie’s sound. This is something you will hear and see visually from the song.

Lady laying in bed scene, seemingly distressed with anxiety of city living pressures. Also another scene of piling bills.

Cities piled high and compact, showing little room to move or breath an interpretation of the scenes shown in the video. Record played key part in the song and video or happiness been shown through music.
