OUGD603 Le Chateau - Market Research

To fully understand the alcohol market I visited numerous supermarkets, looking at the designs, labels, prices and even placement in the shop. This is important for when I am considering how the product will look and stand out on the shelf amongst other products.

A lot of the wine labels were simple with almost no imagery and just text of the wine, location and year. This although simple didn’t strike out off the shelf.

In response the ones that caught my attention most were the bottles with simple an beautiful illustrations, even ones with elaborate finishes. The reason I was more likely to pick up on of these bottles over the simple bottles were because they seemed more attractive to the eye and even more approachable.
