OUGD602 DBA - Name idea, Development & Conclusion

To get started on DBA we needed to create a brand name quickly to progress with the branding a packaging we dedicated an afternoon to creating the name any longer and we would end up in a vicious loop of decision making.

To do this we mind mapped in the group possible solutions;






Some of our favourite names included;

Pure
Good
Solar
Sun and Moon
Rise
Soul

These solutions were inspired by group brand research;

Berocca
Innocent
Naked Smoothies
Nutriseed
Nomi
Raw

Because we are looking to go in to a food lifestyle market we felt these sorts of a brands we could identify with not only this but could be our competitors.















From the research some of the key factors noticed was colour and impact the use of colour really plays a part in the approach of a brand and its connection to an audience for example this colour wheel reflects how the colour blue signifies friendliness.



We also looked at how brand slogans strengthen the identity this is something we considered when developing our brand here are some impactful examples.

Although tag lines often appear cheesy this connection really makes a brand more memorable, this is really important to make a brand successful.

After discussion we came up with the final brand Name Good - we then developed this to spell as GUD to create a catchy tagline 'giving u drive' because we want our products to do just that the tagline really sold its self and strengthened the name with this in mind the next stage was to develop a logo according to our target audience and market.
